Florida State University invites applications for the position of Chair of the School of Dance. The Chair will provide innovative and inspiring leadership, working with faculty to develop and advance a strategic vision for the School. The Chair will embody, support, and convey the mission of teaching, research, and service to varying audiences. Responsibilities include serving as the chief academic officer, serving as the principal administrative and financial officer, and overseeing program reviews and collaboration with faculty in the School of Dance. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in higher education administration and fundraising, familiarity with discipline-specific accreditation standards/processes, and demonstrated commitment to strengthening existing collaborations and establishing new partnerships with professional, industry, and arts organizations regionally, nationally, and internationally.
